The body of law surrounding employment issues is one of the most complex areas you will face as a business owner. Let our presenters decode the confusing acronyms and explain which regulations apply to you. In this session, you will learn the importance of distinguishing between an employee and an independent contractor; elements of an employment agreements; when you can and cannot dismiss an employee and the restrictions that apply following termination. We will briefly look at intellectual property ownership rights, which we covered in detail in the previous session.
