SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sixteen women have been selected as finalists in the second annual Women Tech Awards, presented by Women Tech Council and MountainWest Capital Network.

The Utah Technology Council (UTC), Mountainwest Venture Capital Network (MWCN), Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum (UVEF), and the Wayne Brown Institute (WBI) announced today that Brett Pinegar, author and lead researcher for The New York Times' bestselling "The Breakthrough Company: How Everyday Companies Become Extraordinary" will be the keynote speaker at the organizations' annual joint luncheon event.

MountainWest Capital Network, is currently accepting applications for the 2009 MWCN Utah 100 Awards.
