In collaboration with the Asian Studies program, the Hinckley Institute, and the Confucius Institute at the University of Utah, the Tanner Humanities Center is pleased to welcome Chinese entrepreneur and business consultant Ms. Ying Wang to the campus and community on Monday, September 29, 2008.
Based on her expertise and experience, Ms. Wang will address the business of investing in the China market with special emphasis on energy, security, and the environment in the twenty-first century.
Ying Wang advises and works with U.S. companies that seek to break into the rapidly growing and largely untapped Chinese market. She is President of China Business Consulting Inc., a company providing high-level and problem-solving consulting services to corporations and individuals who are investing and doing business in China. She is also chair of the Oriental Energy Group Limited, a company building solar and wind farms in China and participates in petroleum procurement for China and international investment in oil/gas and mineral projects with Chinese companies. Ms. Wang has also served as vice president and senior advisor of the Cathay China Direct Investment Fund and as deputy representative for China with UNICEF.
