CouchCast - Clue Train

This weeks show is a discussion on the book The ClueTrain Manifesto. Robert, Matthew and Thom discuss several of the 95 theses that make up this book. The authors of the book, Christopher Locke, Rick Levine, Doc Searls and David Weinberger, piece together a description they feel is a turning point in what people will expect from companies. Written in 1999, the book has just as much relevance today, if not more. With the advent of social networks like Twitter, Facebook, and others, information is disciminated faster, and people are making decisions quicker. Companies must engage customers where they are, and become a voice in the community, or others will speak for them.

A powerful global conversation  has begun. Through the Internet, people are discovering and inventing  new ways to share relevant knowledge with blinding speed. As a direct  result, markets are getting smarter—and getting smarter faster than  most companies.
