FundingUniverse, Silicon Slopes, and the Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum announce the Live Pitch Event: June 9, 2009
Entrepreneurs and business experts will be converging on Tuesday, June 9th for a high-energy LivePitch event at Omniture Headquarters (550 East Timpanogos Circle, Orem, UT). The Live Pitch event will feature several companies pitching their business idea to a live audience and a panel of angel investors.
Through an application process, FundingUniverse will select several companies who will be given the opportunity to pitch their business to a panel of experts. Panel members will include:
- Josh James - co-founder and CEO, Omniture
- Scott Frazier - co-founder, Utah Angels
- Steve Grizzel, Innoventures
- Hal Widlansky - Olympus Angels
These experts will provide honest feedback to the entrepreneur on their pitch and business model. Audience members are also given the opportunity to participate by "investing" - via monopoly money -- in their favorite presentation.. As a result, two winners will be announced: an audience favorite and a panel favorite. The top company will be provided in-kind services from sponsors as well as an invitation to pitch to the Utah Angels.
