Health Catalyst has been honored for the fifth year in a row as one of Modern Healthcare's "Best Places to Work in Healthcare."

Now in its tenth year, the award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey.

Health Catalyst placed tenth (No. 10) in the survey's supplier category, which ranks companies that supply products or services to healthcare organizations.  Additionally, Health Catalyst placed fourth (No. 4) among suppliers for having nurtured a "Family Friendly" workplace culture that is conducive to "the flexibility and benefit requirements of today's family," according to Modern Healthcare.

"We are honored to be recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the best employers in the healthcare industry," said Dan Burton, CEO of Health Catalyst. "Our mission is to be a catalyst for massive, sustained improvements in healthcare outcomes. A central part of fulfilling that goal involves attracting and retaining talented team members—individuals who share our mission, enthusiasm and commitment. We appreciate every team member for the great work they perform every day, in an effort to improve healthcare outcomes."

The Modern Healthcare ranking is the latest in a string of workplace awards based on anonymous Health Catalyst team member surveys.  Other "best place to work" awards received by Health Catalyst this year include:

  • Fortune magazine's 30 Best Workplaces in Technology. Health Catalyst ranked No. 9 on the annual list among companies with fewer than 1,000 employees, and is the only healthcare technology company to make the 2017 list.
  • The 2017 Gallup Great Workplace Award. Health Catalyst was one of 37 global companies to receive the award, which was created to recognize organizations for their ability to create engaged workplace cultures that drive business outcomes.
  • Inc. magazine's Top 50 Best Workplaces for 2017. Health Catalyst earned the 4th highest score among private companies with between 250 and 499 employees.

Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work were announced at an awards gala in Chicago on September 28.  Health Catalyst Senior Vice President Leslie Hough Falk -MBA, RN, accepted the award on behalf of the company's more than 500 employees.
