The Summit Group is pleased to announce five SUBWAY markets where they manage all marketing and public relations were named “Markets of the Year” during the annual SUBWAY Local Market Leaders Forum, held this past week in Trumbull, Conn.

Each year, SUBWAY® corporate recognizes specific markets with exceptional sales figures and high AUV performance scores, or the average net sales for all the stores within a market. Five of the markets recognized this year included TSG clients and are: Roanoke, Va.; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Madison, Wis.; Little Rock, Ark. and Greenville, S.C.

All SUBWAY® restaurants are locally owned and operated and TSG has been successful in helping those owners build their business and support their communities.  “We are constantly developing new and exciting marketing strategies for SUBWAY®,” said Bill Paulos, CEO of TSG. “Our marketing efforts are mixed with a strong community approach and public relations strategies, rounding out our success in each market."

In Roanoke, SUBWAY® was the title sponsor of the Virginia Commonwealth Games, a multi-sport festival of Olympic and non-Olympic style events for amateur athletes of all ages. With the work of TSG, SUBWAY® received brand exposure throughout the year to a targeted audience who appreciate the healthy choices SUBWAY® restaurants offer.

In Little Rock, TSG developed a campaign called Fresh Start Challenge, a six-week program encouraging children to adopt healthy eating and fitness habits. Children were encouraged to track the healthy foods they ate and their physical activity, then mail in their entry card.  The winner received a $250 SUBWAY® cash card and the winner’s school received a $1,000 fitness grant.
