Vivint Smart Home announced that Nate Randle has joined the company as chief marketing officer.
Formerly the senior vice president of marketing for the Utah Jazz, Randle will lead the company’s global marketing and communications. Randle’s predecessor, Jeff Lyman, is taking on a newly created executive role where he will work to define the future of Vivint product experiences.
“Nate is a great addition to our all-star leadership team,” said Alex Dunn, president of Vivint Smart Home. ”Under Jeff’s leadership, Vivint has made tremendous strides in brand recognition, favorability and interest from consumers and partners, and we’re excited to have him take on a strategic role within our innovation team. Nate’s extensive consumer branding expertise will continue our momentum during a period of rapid growth.”
A marketing veteran with over 17 years of experience across global consumer brands, Randle previously served as the senior vice president of marketing for the Utah Jazz, where he directed the marketing, design, social media and game operations for the team. He also served on the executive team that secured the new naming rights partner for the home of the Utah Jazz, which is now the Vivint Smart Home Arena.
Before Vivint, Randle also spent five years at Nike. He served as the brand director for football and baseball working directly with the NFL and MLB on product launches and athlete integration. He also drove the brand strategy and consumer initiatives for Nike Golf. Before Nike, Randle worked in a variety of marketing and sales positions for Amer Sports, Callaway Golf Company and Hewlett-Packard.
“Vivint is the leader in providing smart home services to homeowners,” Randle said. “I’m thrilled to join the company at such an exciting time and look forward to bringing the benefits of smart home to the lives of more consumers.”
