It's quite amazing to think a decade has passed since Salt Lake City hosted the Olympic Winter Games. To be sure, the 2002 Winter Games left an indelible imprint on the state, its economy and its populace. That legacy includes world-renown athletic venues, an improved transportation infrastructure and deep civic pride. Thanks largely to the Olympics, Utah has evolved into a world-class destination for tourists and athletes alike.
At EDCUtah, we are celebrating two recent project wins that will add approximately 310 jobs to the state's economy: Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) is planning to build a hospital on the Mountainstar Lone Peak Campus in Draper, which will employ approximately 300 people; meanwhile, Gorilla Brake and Components Inc. will maintain and expand its manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, retaining 11 employees and adding approximately 10 more.
