Salt Lake Community College has named Rick Bouillon its new Dean for the School of Technical Specialties.  Bouillon has worked for SLCC since 1999 in capacities that include Interim Dean in his current position, Regional Director, and Director of Business Outreach.

The School of Technical Specialties includes all of the College apprenticeship programs—15 in all—and other workforce development courses such as aviation technology, automotive technology, cosmetology, and construction.  Students in these programs can earn both Certificates of Completion, Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees.

“We are delighted to have Rick Bouillon as the new Dean of the School of Technical Specialties,” said SLCC Provost of Academic Affairs Chris Picard. “He brings the professional qualifications and leadership necessary to ensure that the school will meet the education and training needs of Utah’s people in some of the areas that are currently most vital to the economy.”

Bouillon holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Eastern Illinois University.
