Common Nightingale is also known as a night songstress that belongs to the group of birds known as chats. It is mostly seen in the regions of Europe and Asia and prefers to thrive in forests, dense thickets and parks. The population of bird species is declining especially in England because of habitat loss, however, the global population of the nightingale is still large and stable. It can grow upto 5.9 to 6.5 inches in length, however, females are slightly smaller than males. Talking about the appearance, it is a brown-coloured bird along with a reddish tail and whitish-grey streaks on the bottom part of the body. The diet of the bird species includes fruit, seeds and insects. The varage lifespan of the nightingales is short and live upto 1 to 3 years in the wild.

Barred Owl is also known as Swamp Owl, Striped Owl, Hoot Owl, Eight Hooter, Round Headed Owl, and Rain Owl was mostly seen in the regions of eastern North America and even in Texas. It prefers to thrive in forested areas, from swamps and riparian areas to uplands. The diet includes small mammals, rabbits, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and invertebrates. It prefers to create a nest in cavities in deciduous trees or uses an open nest made by a hawk or crow. Barred Owl incubation period is for 28 days when the eggs hatch and the young will fly at 42 days old. The avarage lifespan of the bird species is 23 years in the wild.
Eastern whip-poor-will is one of the birds chirping at night can grow upto 22 to 27 cm in length and seen in the regions from North America. It is commonly heard within its range, howvever, it would be very difficult to see it because of its camouflage. It is a medium-sized bird species that can grow upto 22–27 cm (8.7–10.6 in) in length with a total wingspan of 45–50 cm (18–20 in). The varage wieght of the bird specie is 42–69 g (1.5–2.4 oz).It prefers to fly at night to catch its prey and mostly feed on night-flying insects but also eat insects that don’t fly. It is also seen feeding on moths, mosquitoes, flying beetles, ants, grasshoppers, and cricket. The avarage lifespan of the bird species is up to 15 years in the wild.

Northern Mockingbird is a beautiful bird that belongs to the mimid family. As of now, three species of Northern Mockingbird are known that can be seen in the continental parts of North America. It prefers to thrive in fields, edges of the forests, areas near roads, cities and countryside. Northern Mockingbird can reach upto 8.1 to 11 inches in length and 1.4 to 2 ounces of weight. The male species is a little larger than females. The bird species is a diurnal animal that is active during the day and mostly feeds on insects and worms during the spring and summer, however, it prefers to eat fruit and berries during the autumn and winter. The avarage lifespan is 8 years in the wild and up to 20 years in captivity.

American Robin is a songbird that belongs to the family Turdidae. The bird species are native to the Nearctic region and considered as one of the birds of Iowa. It is seen year-round in the regions of southern Canada from Newfoundland to British Columbia, throughout most of the United States of America. The bird species loves to thrive in woodlands, shrublands, tundra, gardens, orchards, lawns, and fields. The varage lifespan of the American Robin is 2 years in the wild and the longest known lifespan in the wild of an American robin is 14 years. It can grow upto 23 to 28 cm (9.1 to 11 inches) in length and wieght around 59 to 94 g (2.1 to 3.3 oz) with a total wingspan of 31 to 41 cm (12 to 16 in). Male species are slightly larger than females.

Black-Crowned Night Heron also known as black-capped night heron and commonly as night hero seen through the world except in the coldest regions and Australasia where it is replaced with closely related nankeen night heron. The bird species can grow upto 22.8-26.0 in (58-66 cm) and the avarage wieght is 25.6-35.8 oz (727-1014 g). The total wingspan of the species is 45.3-46.5 in (115-118 cm). The diet includes primarily fish but it is also seen feeding on squid, crustaceans, aquatic insects, frogs, snakes, clams, mussels, rodents and carrion. The varage lifespan of Black-Crowned Night Heron is 20 years in the wild.

Hermit Thrush is a songbird that belongs to the family of thrushes. As of now, 13 species of Hermit Thrush are known mostly seen in the regions of Canada, Alaska and northeastern and western parts of the USA. It can grow upto 5.5 to 7.1 inches in length and wieght approximately 0.8 to 1.3 ounces of weight. The total wingspan of the bird species is 9.8 to 11.4 inches. Talking about the appearance, Hermit Thrush has a brown plumage on the upper side of the body. It can easily identify by black spots on white chests and prominent red tail. The avarage lifespan is 8 years in the wild. The main natural predators are cats, foxes, chipmunks, squirrels, skunks, snakes and owls.

American woodcock is also known as the timberdoodle, the bogsucker, the hokumpoke, and the Labrador twister are a small shorebird species mostly seen in the regions of the eastern half of North America. This is the only species of woodcock seen in North America. The population of bird species is declining continuously since the 1960s because of loss of habitat caused by forest maturation and urban development. It can grow upto 10 to 12 inches (25 to 30 cm) in length and the avarage wieght is approximately 5 to 8 ounces (140 to 230 g). Female ones are larger than males. The diest includes insect larvae, snails, centipedes, millipedes, spiders, snipe flies, beetles, and ants. The avarage lifespan of the species is 8 years in the wild.

Common Pauraque is also known as pauraque is a nightjar species that is mostly seen in the subtropical and tropical of the New World(Earth’s western hemisphere) except for northernmost birds. It can grow upto 8.7–11 in (22–28 cm) long with a total wingspan of 44 – 46 cm (~ 17 – 18 inches). The varage wieght of the bird species is 53 g (1.9 oz). It has a unique two colour morphs which means the first colour of plumage is greyish-brown plumage and another one is darker coloured variation along with more reddish-brown colouration. It primarily feeds on flying insects such as moths, ground beetles, bees beetles, long-horned beetles (Cerambicids), leaf beetles (Chrysomelids), and fireflies (Lampyrids).

10.Yellow Breasted Chat
Yellow Breasted Chat is a songbird seen in North America and belongs to the family Icteridae. The varage lifespan is 8.9 years in the wild with an avarage wieght is 20 to 34 gms. The bird species is North America’s largest warbler and belived to have a cross between a mockingbird and a warbler. It can grow upto 17 to 19 cm in length with a total wingspan of 23 to 27 cm. The bird species is widely distributed across the eastern United States and southern Canada, from New York to Iowa and south to Texas and North Florida. The diest includes small invertebrates, insects such as ants, bees, wasps, grasshoppers and beetles mostly during the breeding season and mostly in late summers such as blackberries, strawberries, and grapes.
