1.Esperanto

Esperanto is one of the most important countries with green and white flags in the world. The primary part of the flag contains Verda Stelo that was adopted in the year 1905 only for the use of symbols between the Esperantists. It is used by the Esperanto people known as Esperantists, however, the jubilee symbol has been more recently proposed in 1987 as an alternative. The depicts the language and created by Polish ophthalmologist L. L. Zamenhof in 1887. Esperanto translated into English as “one who hopes”.

2.Norfolk Island

Norfolk Island flag was approved by the Norfolk Island council in the year 1979. It was offcially commenced on following Norfolk Island Flag and Public Seal Act 1979 on 17 January 1980. Talking about the flag, It has a central white strip in between two green stripes. The centre part has a triband with a height-to-length ratio of 1:2. Also, the central part is wider than the two outer stripes with a ratio of 7:9:7. The flag of Norfolk Island has a similarity with the Nigerian flag. Norfolk Island is the external territory of Australia situated in the Pacific Ocean between New Zealand and New Caledonia. It is believed that the first known settlers in Norfolk Island were East Polynesians.

Pakistan flag is also one of the green and white flags in the world which was adopted by the authorities of the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan on 11 August 1947. The same flag has been retained even after the constitution was released in the year 1956 and even used for the present-day Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Talking about the flag, it is made up of greenfield in the background and a tilted white crescent moon and five-pointed star at its centre along with vertical white stripe at its hoist-end. Saudi Arabia flag was officially used by the government of the country since 15 March 1973. One of the countries with green and white flags features with an Arabic inscription and a sword. The inscription says “There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah”. This is a desert country surrounded by the Arabian Peninsula, with the Red Sea and Persian (Arabian) Gulf coastlines. There was a competition held in the country in the year 1959 and the design of the flag is the winning entry of the competition. officially known as the Federal Republic of Nigeria shares its border with Benin, Chad, Cameroon and Niger. The capital city is Abuja since 12 December 1991.

Rotterdam is the second-largest city in the Netherlands that was adopted in the year 1949. The flag has a horizontal triband of green-white-green and the colour combination is also seen in the coat of arms of Rotterdam with a ratio of 2:3. The same colour combination is being used to represent the city since the middle ages. The second-largest city of Netherlands and name of the city “Rotterdam” was first mentioned in 1283 when a small tract of reclaimed land was created by draining the mouth of the Rotte River. It is situated about 30km from the North Sea and linked by a canal called the New Waterway.

Pine Tree Flag is also known as Tree Flag or Appeal to Heaven Flag is one of the green and white flags used the American revolution. The flag comes with a slogan “An Appeal to God” or, more usually, “An Appeal to Heaven”, is primarily used by a squadron of six cruisers commissioned under George Washington’s authority. The same flag is also used by the Massachusetts state navy vessels along with an addition to privateers sailing from Massachusetts. Siberia flag comes with three equal horizontal bands of green, white and green colors. It is primarily used during the Russian Civil War by the White Movement and has two equal bands of green and white. The white colour of the flag symbolises the white movement and the white colour band represents it’s a significant importance to Siberia’s independence. The green band also represents a vast forest land stretching from west to east. The flag traced back to the original flag which is based on the Provisional Siberian government created by the white movement.

The North Caucasian Emirate is an Islamic state that existed between the territory between Chechnya and western Dagestan during the Russian Civil War from September 1919 to March 1920. It has a white background along with three stars on to it. Just like other Islamic flags, it features a green field, crescent moon, and stars. The flag was used during the 19th century. The flags has a similar combination with Mauritania only change is the white instead of yellow, and no red, and a brighter green.

The new flag also represents the changed country name that was laid out in the 2008 Constitution. The new design of the flag was proposed on 10 November 2006 during a constitutional convention.
