Utah’s annual HR Crossroads Conference is just around the corner! Held September 22-23, 2015 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton, UT, this powerful two-day event is Utah’s largest gathering of human resource professionals and will feature discussions on over 20 different trending HR topics.
Among the featured speakers at this inspiring conference are renowned HR experts Dr. Susan R. Madsen and Linda Galindo.
Dr. Susan R. Madsenis a strong advocate for women leadership in the workforce and is world-renowned expert on the roles women fulfill in the workplace. Currently acting as the Orin R. Woodbury Professor of Leadership and Ethics at Utah Valley University, Dr. Madsen has authored and edited multiple books, released several research and policy briefs, addressed top leaders at the United Nations, and conducted extensive in-depth research in multiple countries, all regarding the impact women leaders could have in various organizations. In 2013, she was recognized as one of the “30 Women to Watch” in Utah. She holds a doctorate degree from the University of Minnesota and is the founder of multiple groups and associations advocating for women’s leadership potential.
In her keynote address, “Why We Need More Women Leaders in Utah,” Dr. Madsen will discuss the findings of her research, including how having women in key positions can benefit all kinds of organizations around the world. She will then discuss what can be done now to change this for the better here in Utah.
Linda Galindo is a faculty member at the Institute for Management Studies and the Governance Institute. As a consultant, author, speaker, and executive coach, Linda inspires her audiences to empower themselves and bring accountability into their organizations. She is the author of The 85% Solution and Way to Grow! , co-author of Where Winners Live, and also operates a popular blog that draws hundreds of readers each week.
Linda’s keynote address, titled “Brace for Impact, Prepare to Take Off!” will creatively address the roles of the HR professional today and how HR leaders can prepare their organizations for successful futures. She will focus on how your mindset means the difference between success and failure, the importance of clarity in an organization, and steps and tools HR leaders can use to overcome current challenges and increase employee ownership and accountability.
