As part of the commitment to create compassionate communities, Jacksons Food Stores and the Utah Domestic Violence Coalition will launch the 14th year of its “Give the Gift of Peace” campaign, a holiday season campaign began on November 22 and goes through December 25.

The campaign will raise funds for the prevention, education and support for victims of domestic violence and their children, sexual assault survivors, and adolescents experiencing relationship abuse. Contributions can be made in increments of $1, $5, or $10. At the end of the campaign, Jacksons Chief Executive Officer, John Jackson, will match Jacksons’ Food Stores customer contributions dollar for dollar.

Once again, Utah customers will be able to contribute to the campaign by purchasing paper doves at Jacksons Food Stores for $1, $5, and $10. During the first year, Utah Jacksons Food Stores customers contributed over $4,000, resulting in over $8,000 in donations, including Jacksons dollar for dollar match contribution. Jacksons is eager to keep the program rolling in their newest market, Utah.

In addition to Utah, Jacksons Food Stores in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada will also participate in the campaign, and all proceeds will go toward coalitions against domestic violence in the respective states. Since the inception of the “Give the Gift of Peace” campaign, Jacksons has raised over $1,350,000 through this program to help end violence against women and girls and assist individuals who have experienced domestic violence.
