Silvercar expands its U.S. footprint with the announcement of a new airport location in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The app-based, premium car rental service, acquired by Audi in 2017, plans to double its airport travel operations by the end of 2018, a major expansion offering modern travelers access to a better experience. Silvercar kicked off the period of rapid growth this summer by bringing its signature silver Audi A4 vehicles to Seattle and Orlando. The new location in Salt Lake City will begin accepting reservations today in advance of the January 8, 2018 opening.
Known for its fleet of fully-loaded Audi vehicles and seamless mobile-first booking experience, Silvercar continues its commitment to offer premium mobility solutions to customers seeking adventure and hassle-free access to cars when they travel. To date, nearly 70 million miles have been logged by drivers using the platform. With the addition of Salt Lake City, Silvercar locations will total 18 nationwide, including locations in New York City, Chicago, Austin, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Denver, making it the largest premium mobility company in North America.
"Most car renters settle for a lot of unacceptable experiences when they travel. They wait in long lines, they never know what vehicle they're going to get, and frankly the industry has missed a huge opportunity to offer people the premium mobility options they deserve. We've always been laser-focused on delivering a better customer experience with an innovative, premium, mobile-first approach and our rapid, sustained growth reflects that," said Silvercar COO, Chris Donus. "Now, as part of the Audi family, 2018 will be a transformational year for Silvercar, as we set our sights on fast-paced expansion and several exciting new offerings."
Silvercar offers customer access to new 2017 and 2018 fully-loaded Audi A4 vehicles with onboard Wi-Fi, GPS navigation, and SiriusXM satellite radio -- always included at no additional cost. All Silvercar renters will continue to benefit from no fuel upcharges, no mileage restrictions, no additional fees for toll charges, and no fees for car seat rentals. Prices start at $49 per day at all locations for 2018 rentals booked by December 31, 2017.
