Impact Hub Salt Lake, a co-working community for entrepreneurs, and social changemakers has launched a new program called, “Impact Saturdays”—a series of free weekend workshops aimed to promote professional development and community building among Utahns.

The Impact Saturdays workshop series is held at Impact Hub Salt Lake’s State St. location every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“On Saturdays, we host a variety of workshops that help build a greater community,” said Heidi Gress, Director of Impact Hub Salt Lake. “Whether it’s learning a new professional skill, improving your portfolio, or exploring our city’s cultural diversity through creative expression, our goal is to create important connections that allow all types of entrepreneurs to thrive.”

These workshops vary from:

social media and visual marketing; design thinking; music classes; cultural dance classes; workshops that explain civic involvement; as well as other activities that aim to build a collaborative, creative, and more inclusive community in Salt Lake City.

At the inaugural Impact Saturdays series attendees were provided with free professional headshots by local photographers.

Future Impact Saturdays workshops include:

● Yoga with Bloom, Feb. 16

● Train Your Musical Ear, Feb. 23

● Participate in Local Gov., March 2

● Bollywood Fusion, March 9

● Artist Workshop, March 16

The Impact Saturdays program was inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Impact Hub’s global network of over 100 Hubs around the world is guided by the SDGs, and all Hubs work to support local communities in their efforts to reach the 2030 goals.
