Yrene Luque is the new director of Zions Bank’s Business Resource Center in downtown Salt Lake City at 310 S. Main St. In addition to providing one-on-one business counseling, Luque will develop educational events within the business community, including seminars for existing and prospective small business owners.
Luque brings to her position more than a decade of experience working with and supporting business owners. She most recently managed Zions Bank’s West Jordan branch and, before that, served as assistant manager of the Sandy South Towne branch. Luque also spent eight years at Wells Fargo in roles including commercial lender. Prior to banking, she worked in business strategy and marketing.
Luque holds an associate degree from Montgomery College in Maryland, and is a member of the West Jordan Chamber of Commerce.
“Good business leaders create a vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion,” Luque said. “Zions Bank’s Business Resource Center aims to help entrepreneurs apply practical skills to articulate and execute that vision.”
Launched in 2006, Zions Bank’s Business Resource Center is a free service that has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs start and grow local businesses. The Business Resource Center offers business counseling in both English and Spanish in a variety of areas, including business plans; financial projections; marketing research, sales strategies, loan packaging; growth; financing; and managing a business.
