WTC 400x56

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) will receive a $500,000 grant to support export growth among small businesses through SBA’s competitive State Trade Expansion Program (STEP).

This year’s award to WTC Utah is a $200,000 increase over the amount awarded to it in 2018, which is the largest increase among all grantees nationwide.

To learn how to apply for STEP Grant funding, join us on Wednesday, September 25th for a seminar with SBA and the U.S. Commercial Service. As part of the seminar, head SBA administrator over international programming, David Glaccum – previous U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley's Chief of Staff – will share key insights on how to successfully apply for grant funding.

Use the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) Grant to expand your business internationally with assistance from World Trade Center Utah, U.S. Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Small Business Administration

We would like to extend an invitation to Utah businesses to learn about export assistance resources available from World Trade Center Utah, U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The focus of this seminar is on writing and applying for World Trade Center Utah's competitive grants including the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) Grant. Special guest SBA Associate Administrator, David Glaccum will welcome participants and answer questions about STEP and SBA Export Loan Programs. This seminar will include information on trade services provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce as well as competitive grants designed to increase the number of small businesses exporting in Utah, increase revenues and sales of Utah-made goods and services and increase Utah's GDP through international trade. These grants are administered by WTC Utah, who wants your business to succeed internationally. Don’t miss this opportunity. We anticipate the grant funding window will open October 1, 2019.

STEP is funded in part through a grant with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
