Newmark Grubb ACRES is pleased to announce a lease of 12,183 SF in the Wells Fargo Center to BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading accounting and advisory organizations.
The Center is located at 299 S Main Street in Salt Lake City, Utah and is a Class A, 24-story office building. It is the largest office tower in the downtown district.
Newmark Real Estate Specialist Collin Perkins represented BDO in this transaction.
With over 60 offices and more than 6,000 employees, BDO is one of the largest and most respected accounting firms in the country. As an independent member of the international BDO network, BDO USA serves multi-national clients through a global network of more than 67,000 people working out of 1,400 offices across 158 countries.
In regards to the transaction, Perkins said, “BDO wanted to be located in one of the premier class A office towers in downtown Salt Lake City, and when the opportunity at the Wells Fargo Center became available, it became clear this is where BDO wanted to be. The Wells Fargo Center being located on Main Street has multiple food, lodging and retail amenities within a short walk as well as immediate access to public mass transit. It also provides incredible views of the city and valley from their 10th floor offices. In all, I think we hit a homerun with this location and building.”
“All of our partners and staff are looking forward to moving into our new offices in the Wells Fargo Center,” said Matt McReynolds, BDO’s Assurance Office Managing Partner. “This remarkable tower is located in the heart of Salt Lake City’s vibrant downtown district and it will allow us to showcase BDO’s Exceptional Workplace design. Over the past four years, BDO USA has grown faster than any other national accounting firm, more than doubling revenues – from $683 million in 2013 to $1.41 billion in 2017. But even as we have grown, we have stayed committed to retaining our culture through our Exceptional Workplace strategy, which will be very evident in our new offices. Exceptional Workplace is a flexible office strategy that enables a collaborative work environment that serves different work styles across BDO practice groups and generations. In addition to encouraging teamwork and maximizing productivity, the strategy has paid dividends in the recruitment and retention of staff.”
