Early Life

Born on January 4, 1989, the singer is from Hackney, London. Growing up in a family with nine siblings all of them involved with music, he didn’t have a choice but to do the same.

In an interview with Esquire talking about his childhood, the star reminisced, “Downstairs my brother had an MPC Controller and another brother had a drum-set so his friends would bring over their guitars.”

Talking about his sisters, Labrinth said, “upstairs my sisters had their friends singing R&B or gospel songs and working out harmonies. I don’t know how my mum dealt with it because I can’t be around that much noise and I make music,” the singer said.

Labrinth attended Stoke Newington School where he started doing music seriously. Guided by his older brother Mac, he got to learn about music-making processes in a studio and stuck with it for a lifetime.

Personal Life

The sweet-looking and very down-to-earth singer had his ups and downs. After releasing his first album he suffered from anxiety attacks and sort of a breakdown. He took a two-year gap before coming back in 2014.
